Our story

Confianza Capital was set up in 2017 to give businesses in Botswana senior, independent corporate finance advice.

Over the past 9 years we have raised capital and advised on transactions for clients in property, financial services, infrastructure, tourism, healthcare and renewable energy. They range from listed groups and pension funds to family-owned businesses and private investors.

Our job is to match what a business needs with what investors will fund, then do the work to get the deal signed.

Every mandate starts with what the business is trying to achieve. The financing follows from that.

We are not tied to any lender, investor or counterparty, so we can tell you plainly which offer is best.

Sustainable finance in practice

Much of the work in our region is in renewable energy, agriculture and social infrastructure. These projects need patient capital, and the investors who provide it ask detailed questions about environmental and social impact.

We help sponsors answer them: raising green and blue finance, running ESG and sustainability ratings, and setting up the impact reporting that DFIs and impact funds expect.
